The World is incredibly strange, weird, and beautiful. Humans believe they
have discovered a lot however according to some scientists only 5% of the world’s
oceans have been explored. Still, there are various places in the world that
leaves a man breathless. We are showing you 10 selected beautiful places here;
1. Spotted Lake:
Spotted Lake is located in the eastern valley of British Columbia. The
unique lake is incredibly beautiful and can be seen from Highway 3 of a small
town, Osoyoos. The water evaporates leaving these spots behind in the lake, each
different from the other one.
2. Pamukkale:
Water cascades from natural springs form stunning thermal pools. This
UNESCO World Heritage site is in the southwest of Turkey. This place is also
known as the Cotton Palace.
3. Lake Hiller:
This remarkable lake is located in Western Australia. The bottom of
the lake remains pink throughout the year. Scientists believe that it is
because of the salt-loving algae and pink bacteria under the lake.
4. Badab-e-Sort:
These beautiful travertine terraces are in northern Iran. The limestone
is formed due to calcium deposits in flowing water of two hot springs. The reddish
color of the terraces is because of the high content of iron oxide in one of
the springs.
5. The Nasca Lines:
The animal figures and geometric shapes made by an ancient Nasca are one
of the great
mysteries. These lines are visible only from the air or from a metal viewing
tower beside the highway, some shapes are up to 200m in length and each one is
executed in a continuous line.
6. The Bermuda Triangle:
Also known as Devil’s Triangle is an area between Florida and Puerto Rico.
Many unusual ships, planes, and people have disappeared here without a trace.
7. Socotra Island:
This remote island has trees of a particular and beautiful shape. Such trees
are not found anywhere else in the world.
8. The Hand in the Desert:
Irarrázabal is responsible for this very strange work of art rising out
of the sand in the middle of Chile’s desert. Irarrázabal is known for his works
associated with human suffering.
9. The Catacombs:
The deeply creepy catacombs are a network of old tunnels beneath
Paris and the final resting place of around six million Parisians. Most
are anonymous, skulls and bones taken from the city’s overcrowded graveyards
during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
10. Glass Beach:
This glass beach in California is a side effect of years of rubbish
being dumped on the beach. In the 1960s that this was stopped and by then the sea
was full of everything from electrical appliances to bottles and cans. Later, the
waves of the sea broke everything down into colorful pebbles.
