Karachi
is the largest city of Pakistan and the seventh-largest city in the world. It lies
in the province of Sindh. The city is the financial and industrial centre for
the country. It is home to two largest seaports i.e. Port Bin Qasim and the
Port of Karachi. Clifton Beach has its place in the Arabian Sea which makes this
city a transport hub. People here are independent linguistically, ethnically
and religiously. Visiting Karachi is always a great idea not only for tourists
but also the nationals. Here are the places everyone should see while visiting
Karachi;
Mazar e Quaid:
Mazar e Quaid is the resting place for Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. Many military ceremonies take place there especially on 23rd March (Pakistan Day), 14th August (Independence Day) and 11th September (Defence Day). People visit this tomb to pay tribute to the leader.
Mohatta Palace:
The
Mohatta Palace is a museum located in Karachi. The Palace was built for a Hindu
businessman Shivratan Mohatta to stay and enjoy a summer near Clifton. After partition,
this palace was turned into a museum.
Clifton Beach:
Karachi
has a beautiful sea called Clifton Beach. It is located on the Arabian Sea. It is
everyone’s favourite place to visit in Pakistan. There is a huge rush of people
24/7 especially in summer.
Frere Hall:
It
is a building from British Colonial times. Frere Hall was built to serve as a town
hall but these days its library and a ceremonial hall. Many exhibitions take
place there.
Port Grand:
This
is a beautiful family destination. If you are looking for a place to eat after visiting the seaside, Port Grand is a great place for food and drink.
The Chaukhandi Tombs:
These tombs are located in the east of Sindh and are a UNESCO World
Heritage site. This is a place for tombs of ancestors of local tribes. People
like to visit this place for stone cravings attraction.
Empress Market:
If anyone is looking for a market to buy groceries, daily life
products, stationery or textiles, Empress Market is a great place to visit. This
place is named after the Empress of India, Queen Victoria.
